Acta Astronomica Sinica (AcASn), the earliest astronomical journal (in Chinese) was started in 1953. It is sponsored by Chinese Astronomical Society and undertaken by Purple Mountain Observatory, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It publishes the latest results of scientific researches on various branches of astronomy, such as astrophysics, celestial mechanics and astrometry, astronomical instrumentation and history of astronomy. The English translation version in Chinese Astronomy and Astrophysics, published by Elsevier Press, is available online at www.sciencedirect.com.
AcASn published semiyearly from 1953 to 1978 and quarterly from 1979 to 2010. In 2011, it starts to shorten its publication period. All interested readers are available to access the current bimonthly journal at www.twxb.org, including invited reviews, research papers, letters and selected abstracts of PhD dissertations in astronomy. Astronomers of all over the world are welcome to submit their papers to our journal.
