Progress in Astronomy, one of the key astronomical journals in China, was founded in June 1983. The journal publishes review articles on the most recent developments in astronomical research from around the world, articles on the frontiers of science, research notes, special lectures, reports on scientific activities, as well as a small number of high quality research papers.
The journal is cited by the magor indexing systems, such as CNKI, CSCD, CSTPCD in China, and ADS abroad.
